3 Ways To Actually Stick To Your Resolutions
With all the excitement of the New Year, it's easy to get wrapped up in everything you hope will happen. Let's face it: there's a lot of l hype. These hopes and dreams keeps us going, but at the end of the day we have to put our plans into action if we really want to have a seccessful year. It can get difficult, but you can always come back to read this list through the year when needed.
=> Think About Last Year:
Reflecting on the past teaches us what works and what doesn't. Were your resolutions last year overarching that you immediately felt overwhepmed? Perhaps you need to think on a smaller, more detailed scale. Try changing from "Be A Better Person", to "Volunteer Once A Month", (or another measurable activity) and see how that goes. Did you write out very specific goals and find that by the end of 2014, you didn't even want to accomplish some of them? Maybe try not to plan everything to a T - instead, account for change.
=> Inject Positivity:
For most people, the point of a resolution is to enact positive change. Some people naturally go toward a negative thought, however. So how can you transform negativity in your resolutions to positive statements? Well, instead of thinking of losing weight, you can think of gaining a healthy lifestyle. Instead of saying you'll stop letting your fears get the best of you, how about you'll start being more confident in yourself? Be injecting positivity into your resolutions, you'll feel more motivated and less bogged down by the negative in your life.
=> If You Want To Do Something, Do It:
Often, crossing things off our bucket lists comes down to whether or not we actually want to do it. Yes, the things that are left uncompleted at the end of the year probably are going to be the hardest to accomplish. But in the end, only you can make something happen, wether it be changing your diet, starting a business or running a matathon. Don't over think it this year - if you want to do it, do it!
Happy New Year Everyone!! Wishing You The Best.
THANKS!!
