SELFIES - The DOS & The DON'TS -

"Let me take a selfie". DON'T say that! This was a fun song but that time is over. "It is so last year" as they say in the classics.

DO try some different angles or directions or attitudes. Get creative with your selfies rather than just having you and your friend smiling at the camera.

But DON'T pout so much. Leave that one for the models. Just have fun with your selfies, it's usually not a magazine photo shoot. Let me see you smiling like you mean it ;)

=> DO try some filters but DON'T forget to try #NoFilter sometimes. The truth doesn't always have to hurt!

=> DO always have your phone ready to catch that special selfie moment in time. Sometimes you only get a brief window. Snap it or its gone.

=> DO take multiple shots so you can choose the best one. The beauty of digital is that you never run out of film and you only have to keep the shots you like!

=> DO post your favorites to instagram. You become famous!

=> DON'T make selfies your life. Remember to enjoy the moment and the experience of being present in the now. Otherwise the only memory you have it if the moment is the selfie, which may not turn out that well anyway!

=> DON'T take revealing selfies. Or if you do, DON'T ever send them to ANYONE. He might be your boyfriend now but beware of what may happen after it's over. You never know who's hands or who's camera or who's Instagram your intimate shot may end up in. It's just all wrong.
